Cyprus Public Transport, a public transportation operator in Cyprus with a fleet of over 200 buses, wanted to upgrade passenger services by adding fast 5G-based Wi-Fi across its buses and stations. The company also needed a centralized way to manage all devices and a network that could support a marketing platform for passenger engagement. Peplink’s mobility and cloud management solution was selected to help meet these goals.

Peplink and its partners deployed MAX Transit 5G routers on 240 buses and managed them through InControl, Peplink’s cloud-based platform. The result was reliable, congestion-free onboard Wi-Fi with customizable captive portals for advertising and passenger insights, plus GPS-enabled fleet management to improve vehicle efficiency. Cyprus Public Transport reported strong usage across the full fleet in Nicosia and Larnaca, helping passengers stay connected while commuting.
