A Peplink Case Study
Comprehensive Communication Services (CCS), a manufacturer of mobile command centers, faced the challenge of ensuring reliable communication for first responders in the aftermath of disasters when local cellular networks are often destroyed or unavailable for extended periods. Their goal was to integrate a robust communications package into their Mobile Emergency Response Centers (MERCs) to provide effective coordination anywhere in the world.
The solution implemented by Peplink utilized routers with dual 5G modems and SpeedFusion technology to bond multiple cellular carrier connections with a Starlink satellite feed, creating a single, resilient data pipe. This Peplink system provided the State of Louisiana Fire Marshal’s office with a reliable connection, achieving consistent network speeds between 150 and 200 Mbps down and up during early deployments, ensuring paramount communication capabilities for disaster response.
