The AA, a UK-based automotive services company, faced the challenge of meeting ambitious hiring targets for its call centers in Oldbury and Newcastle. Despite using a range of traditional attraction methods, they were not achieving the required application numbers and needed a bold new strategy to raise awareness and reflect their fun, friendly culture. PeopleScout was engaged to provide a talent advisory and experiential events solution.

PeopleScout designed and executed an experiential event titled challenge. The solution involved hosting public challenges in shopping centers, supported by a celebrity host and social media promotion, to generate excitement and direct traffic to the careers site. This approach by PeopleScout yielded record-breaking results, including a single-day high of 7,100 careers site visits and a month-over-month increase in applications from 576 to 1,026 for the Newcastle center. Most importantly, the events directly led to 12 successful hires at each call center location.
