Protective Life partnered with PeopleMetrics to better understand financial advisors across different distribution channels and learn why they sell certain annuity products. The goal was to improve sales growth and identify how Protective Life could better support and serve advisors, using a customer advisory board as the primary research approach.
PeopleMetrics built and recruited a branded advisory board of 500+ qualified financial advisors and gathered feedback through online surveys and 1:1 telephone and video interviews. As a result, Protective Life tested 6 new annuity products or concepts, adjusted fees and timeframes, gained insight into desired functionality and digital capabilities, and tested 7 product illustrations and brochures to improve messaging and impact.
