HIPnation, led by advisor Ben Butler, needed an ACA‑compliant benefit to supplement the Direct Primary Care (DPC) and Sedera plans he sold to small and larger-tier clients. Those alternative plans weren’t considered minimum essential coverage for applicable large employers, so HIPnation required a flexible, low‑cost solution that would keep employers compliant and provide nationwide coverage for distributed workforces. PeopleKeep’s individual coverage HRA (ICHRA) was evaluated as a fit.
