Lafayette is using the PeopleGrove platform to promote career access for students and alumni—starting with career exploration

Lafayette College, a private liberal arts school, sought to level the playing field for its students and alumni by improving career access, particularly for those without inherited professional networks. The challenge was to connect its 2,700 undergraduates and 29,000+ alumni for career exploration and support, helping them build social capital and navigate various career stages. To address this, they partnered with the vendor PeopleGrove.

Lafayette implemented the PeopleGrove platform, branding it internally as Gateway Link. The solution provided a space for students to explore career possibilities connected to their majors and taught them how to network using built-in templates and messaging tools. For alumni, it served as an avenue to give back and also to seek support for their own career pivots. PeopleGrove enabled the college to leverage its entire network, resulting in increased alumni engagement and empowering students with the confidence and connections to open new doors.
