The HSE’s secret to successful integrated healthcare

Ireland’s Health Service Executive (HSE) is Ireland’s national healthcare provider, responsible for integrated care across hospitals, clinics and communities and serving a large, dispersed workforce. Faced with scheduling constraints, rising service demand and the need to rapidly identify and close knowledge gaps, the HSE required a reliable, scalable and user‑friendly online learning solution that would support continuing professional development and competency assessment across the organization.

The HSE deployed a centrally managed LMS (NetDimensions, implemented with Aurion Learning) as HSELanD.ie to deliver on‑demand eLearning, assessments and career‑planning tools. The platform now supports over 53,783 registrants, with 19,267 eLearning programs in progress, more than 18,651 completed courses and over 5,000 competency assessments, and provides users with competency checks, CPD planning, certificates, resource libraries and collaborative learning hubs.
