Texas State University streamlines processes to ensure fair, consistent and defensible faculty hiring

Texas State University needed a better way to manage a high-volume faculty hiring process while ensuring fairness, consistency, and defensibility. With 55 faculty job searches underway, the university turned to PeopleAdmin and its Applicant Tracking System to help streamline hiring and improve how it collected equal employment opportunity (EEO) data.

PeopleAdmin implemented an electronic recruitment process that gave search committee members immediate access to applicant materials, simplified committee workflows, and automated data collection for applicants. As a result, Texas State University improved its EEO response rate, eliminated paper-mail costs, and made it easier to track veteran representation and other protected classes, with faculty, deans, and chairs all supporting the system.
