Tarrant County College builds a pool of 125 adjunct faculty with PeopleAdmin

Tarrant County College faced a challenge with its adjunct faculty workload that risked noncompliance with federal benefits requirements. To avoid penalties, the college needed to limit adjunct hours, which in turn created a significant new demand for additional qualified adjunct faculty. To meet this demand, they partnered with vendor PeopleAdmin and utilized its Applicant Tracking System (ATS).

PeopleAdmin's solution involved using its ATS to screen recent applicants and identify qualified candidates. The college then reached out to gauge interest and held an on-campus recruitment fair. This process successfully created a pool of 125 new adjunct faculty members, meeting and in some areas exceeding the college's hiring goals for every department. The project strengthened Tarrant County College's partnership with PeopleAdmin, which provided responsive support and expertise, and the college's efforts were recognized with a "Make it Happen" award from the vendor.
