Dutch insurer Achmea — whose Internal Audit department of 75 staff had been using MS Office and structured network folders — needed to modernise after finding manual processes made it hard to link findings to key risks, maintain a clear audit trail, and ensure coherence between risk analysis and the audit plan. The change delivered faster reporting (about 10–20% quicker), significantly improved audit-file quality and traceability, strong vendor support, and broad user acceptance, giving management greater confidence and more efficient external reporting.
