Royal Drawing School celebrates 25 years with Pentagram’s new identity

The Royal Drawing School, an artist-led institution founded by King Charles III, approached Pentagram to develop a new visual identity as it neared its 25th anniversary. The challenge was to create a brand system that could articulate the school's evolving mission, reflect its unique spirit, and support its global visibility across a wide range of creative outputs.

Pentagram designed a comprehensive solution that included a custom, extended sans-serif logo and typeface to evoke openness, along with a new photographic direction focused on authenticity. The new identity was unveiled at a palace reception hosted by the King and Queen and was rolled out across all touchpoints. Pentagram also contributed to the school's 25th-anniversary exhibition and produced a special catalogue, successfully launching a timeless brand system that supports the school's mission and growing reputation.
