A Pentagram Case Study
Imperial College London sought to create a donor recognition installation that was more unique and impactful than a traditional donor wall. They partnered with design firm Pentagram to develop a concept that would celebrate philanthropy and reflect the college's story in a way that could grow over time.
Pentagram designed and implemented a modular installation inspired by cellular structures, crafted from hand-blown recycled glass roundels set within a steel framework. Each roundel bears a donor's name, and the system is designed to expand as new benefactors join. The solution, made with sustainably sourced materials, provides a permanent, double-sided feature in the main reception that recognizes donors while minimizing environmental impact.
