Huguet launches 7-designer collection with Pentagram

Huguet, a Mallorcan artisan manufacturer of tiles and terrazzo objects, collaborated with the design firm Pentagram on a special collection. Their challenge was to merge their traditional, hand-crafted production methods with innovative, contemporary design to create a new, sustainable take on luxury and keep their artisanal skills relevant.

Pentagram's solution was to have seven of its partners design a unique collection of tiles and objects using Huguet's materials and methods. The results were a playful and surprising collection that blended modern design with traditional craftsmanship, including glow-in-the-dark tiles, data-visualization tiles, and modular furniture. This collaboration successfully showcased Huguet's capabilities to a new audience, with the collection being launched at the 2022 London Design Festival and made available for order on their website.
