Banjo is an Australian online lender offering secured and unsecured loans to small and medium businesses, using data to form a holistic view of applicants. Facing the challenge of being built from scratch in the highly competitive fintech and business lending market, Banjo engaged PENSO to develop its brand strategy, identity, narrative and go-to-market plan and to create the marketing and digital foundations needed for launch.
PENSO delivered a full start-up build including brand identity, jingle and tagline (“Just Brilliant Business Loans”), creative and multi-channel advertising (TV, radio, print, outdoor, digital), a content and thought leadership program, PR and events, and website MVPs with UX, technology and analytics. Using a test-and-learn MVP approach PENSO helped Banjo save hundreds of thousands of dollars, rapidly gather customer data, optimize channels and creative, and ultimately launch successfully — today Banjo holds a significant loan book of small and medium businesses across Australia.
