Singleton Council completes reservoir access upgrade in 12 hours with Pensar

Singleton Council required an urgent upgrade to the unsafe access at their Mt Thorley Reservoir. The project involved significant high-risk work, including demolition, building a new 20-meter high access stairway, and replacing the reservoir's roof. Vendor Pensar was engaged to provide a solution that prioritized safety and minimized disruption to the critical water supply.

Pensar implemented a revised methodology, pre-fabricating the entire stair access tower on its side at ground level before lifting it into place with a 130-ton crane. This innovative approach drastically reduced working at heights and accelerated the timeline. As a result, Pensar successfully completed a specific 24-hour plant shutdown task in just 12 hours, all while maintaining strict compliance with water safety standards and ensuring no interruption to the council's customers.
