Seqwater, a Queensland water supplier, faced a challenge when an existing water bore supplying its Point Lookout Water Treatment Plant was damaged and required replacement. The project involved significant design, drilling, and construction work in an environmentally sensitive area near a wetland on North Stradbroke Island. Pensar designed and installed a new water bore with a PVC casing and stainless steel screen, managing all mechanical, civil, and electrical works. The vendor successfully navigated key challenges by liaising closely with the local Aboriginal community to ensure cultural heritage requirements were met and by implementing measures to prevent any environmental impact from the released water.
