Seqwater completes NSI Filters upgrade in 3 months with Pensar

Seqwater engaged Pensar to improve the performance and reliability of the filters at its North Stradbroke Island facility, a project that included providing safe access for maintenance activities. The island location presented a significant logistical challenge, requiring meticulous planning for resources and materials with no room for delays, and the work had to be staged as only two filters could be worked on at any one time.

Pensar designed, fabricated, and installed new aluminium walkways, access platforms, and davit arm bases. Their innovative modular design allowed for pre-assembly, which minimized onsite hotworks by requiring only a single crane lift. Pensar successfully delivered the complete design and construct project in-house, meeting all requirements including a specific drainage fall across the walkway to fulfill water quality standards.
