City Parklands Services remediates 8 deck units with Pensar

The customer, City Parklands Services, faced a structural challenge with the concrete decking on the South Bank Promenade, which required remediation to maintain its load capacity. They engaged the vendor Pensar for the design and construction of the solution.

Pensar implemented a complex solution involving a custom-designed truss system and a unique temporary work platform installed via canoes, overcoming extreme access constraints. The results were a very high quality of finish and the successful strengthening of the structure, for which Pensar won the 2023 ACRA Award for Excellence in the Marine category.
