Bundaberg Regional Council delivers 5ML water storage and 10m PAC tank with Pensar in 5 months

The Bundaberg Regional Council required the design and construction of a new clear water storage and powdered activated carbon tank system. Their challenge was to complete this critical infrastructure project within a strict seasonal shutdown period and a highly compressed construction timeframe, while also integrating multiple engineering disciplines into a single, cohesive package. Pensar provided a full design and construction package that combined civil, structural, mechanical, process, electrical, and instrumentation disciplines. The solution included a 5ML concrete clear water storage tank and a 10m high PAC tank. Pensar successfully operated within the council's tight timeframe, leveraged the local economy by using local labor, and completed the project with no safety incidents. A key achievement was Pensar's use of a 3D Navisworks model during the design phase to effectively communicate the complex design to all stakeholders.
