Textilerewashing Schmid boosts output to 2,000 kg/hour with Pellerin Milnor Corporation

Textilerewashing Schmid, a family-owned laundry in Switzerland, faced a catastrophic fire that destroyed its facility. The customer's challenge was to rebuild and expand its operation within the same physical footprint while increasing production capacity and efficiency. They turned to their longstanding vendor, Pellerin Milnor Corporation, to implement a solution using Milnor's PulseFlow CBW tunnel technology.

Pellerin Milnor Corporation designed a customized three-level layout featuring two PulseFlow CBW tunnels, one for workwear and one for flatwork, integrated with automated rail systems. This solution doubled the plant's processing capacity to 2,000 kg/hour while dramatically reducing fresh water consumption to as low as 3.5 liters per kg. The increased efficiency allowed the laundry to move from two shifts to one and serve over 600 customers, all within the original foundation constraints.
