Call Before You Dig, Inc. (CBYD) is a state-regulated, non-profit one-call notification organization serving Connecticut’s public utilities, municipalities, excavators, and the general public. In 2015, CBYD needed a fresh approach to its one-call solution because its existing system had low online engagement and could not support the modern user experience the organization wanted to deliver. PelicanCorp was brought in to help upgrade the service.

PelicanCorp implemented OneCallAccess, a fully managed one-call operation solution for E-Ticket and call center operations. The new platform introduced map-centric ticketing, mobile-friendly access, improved confirmation sheets, and better reporting and analytics, while preserving continuity for utilities. As a result, CBYD increased web adoption from under 40% to over 75% within the first year, creating greater efficiencies in the call center and improving support for members and contractors.
