The Day, a long-established daily in New London, CT with roughly 37,000 readers and 2.8 million monthly page views, needed a modern way to manage print and digital subscriptions while enforcing a metered paywall and handling geographic delivery constraints. The paper required advanced geo-targeting, data segmentation, reporting, and a self-serve dashboard to simplify subscriber management and carrier routes.

Pelcro was selected for its customizable UI/UX and built a custom metered paywall (three free articles) with a mandatory zip-code modal that automatically determines print versus digital eligibility. Integrations with PressReader and Vision Data plus Pelcro’s dashboard gave The Day a unified subscription experience, simplified delivery management, and clearer segmentation and reporting to modernize and streamline their subscription process.
