Tuolumne Me-Wuk Indians & SSI Upgrade with Pelco at Black Oak Casino and Resort

Black Oak Casino and Resort, owned by the Tuolumne Band of Me-Wuk Indians, needed to modernize surveillance across its 164,000+ sq ft resort to better protect guests, staff and assets. Facing a large, activity-filled property and dated analog systems, the casino sought an easy-to-adopt migration to an IP-based, high-definition video platform; Pelco products (including Pelco HD cameras and the Pelco Endura 2.0 VMS) were selected as part of the upgrade managed by Surveillance Systems Integration (SSI).

Pelco supplied the core VMS and hardware—Endura 2.0, NSM5200-36 36 TB network storage managers, NET5402R‑HD decoders, VCD5202 consoles, KBD5000 keyboards and HD/1080P PTZ cameras—enabling a phased 15‑month roll‑out of over 400 HD cameras, a full virtual matrix, and an upgraded surveillance room with a large video wall and seven operator stations. The Pelco solution allowed unified recording of legacy MPEG4 and new H.264 streams, multicast recording to reduce network load, elimination of single points of failure, and scalable IP expansion—delivering clearer imagery, faster incident review and improved operational reliability.
