Peterhead Port Authority, one of the UK’s most versatile ports, needed a high-resolution, wide-coverage surveillance solution for its new £51 million inner harbour and state-of-the-art fish market. They engaged Pelco to provide cameras and VideoXpert Professional VMS to improve monitoring, forensic analysis, and overall security across the market.

Pelco deployed approximately forty cameras—including Evolution eye‑level cameras, 360-degree units indoors and fixed cameras outdoors—managed by VideoXpert Professional with up to 30 days of storage and a dedicated security office for daily monitoring. The Pelco system expanded coverage, enabled fast incident tracing and recovery (including recovering misplaced fish), improved playback resolution to near-live quality, and gave stakeholders greater reassurance and operational security.
