Murtala Muhammed Airport Terminal Two - Customer Case Study

Murtala Muhammed Airport Terminal Two in Ikeja, Lagos State, Nigeria, was operating a deteriorating analog surveillance system — 60 Pelco analog high-speed dome cameras, four Pelco hybrid video recorders and a Pelco matrix/switcher controller — that suffered low resolution, limited retention and storage, decaying infrastructure, high maintenance costs and communication failures. The airport engaged Pelco to modernize and better secure its expansive terminal.

Working with local integrator BOW Dynamic Systems Ltd., Pelco replaced the legacy system with the VideoXpert™ VMS and deployed Sarix™ low-light IP cameras, high-resolution Spectra™ PTZ domes and Optera™ panoramic cameras. The Pelco solution delivered higher-resolution video, longer retention and scalable storage, improved situational awareness and faster, more proactive responses, and has helped increase the sense of safety for passengers and personnel.
