Memphis International Airport faced growing traffic and security demands after building a new Ground Transportation Center (GTC) and consolidating rental car operations on-site. To replace an aging analog system and manage frequent vehicle congestion and incident response needs, the airport selected Pelco’s IP surveillance solution, including Pelco IP cameras and the Endura video management system.

Pelco deployed a scalable IP camera and recording solution (archiving 30 days at 30 fps) and expanded Endura to manage over 1,100 Pelco Spectra PTZ and Sarix fixed cameras, later migrating to VideoXpert Enterprise and planning AccessXpert integration. The system’s analytics (people counting, license-plate capture) resolved incidents—identifying drivers who bypassed parking fees and helping avert a liability claim against TSA—and enabled perimeter thermal imaging and a unified network architecture for easier future expansion.
