Walkabout, an Australian-theme bar chain owned by iNTERTAIN Ltd., set out in 2014 to refresh 11 of its 24 UK venues with a more cosmopolitan, female-friendly design focused on food, coffee and lounging. The refurbishment required modern lighting and AV integration to create a striking indoor-outdoor feel and focal points that would attract new customers. For the video wall element of the project Sound Power and distributor Owl Visual specified Samsung DB48/DB40 displays and Peerless-AV mounts, including the DS-VW765-LAND Full-Service Video Wall Mount.

Peerless-AV’s mounts were installed as part of the 5x2 “wow factor” video walls that dominate the rear of each bar, offering tool-free micro-adjustments, easy serviceability and time-saving custom spacers that sped up installation. The Peerless-AV solution helped deliver a clean, high-impact display that complemented the new lighting and design; the refreshed venues have seen increased footfall and a contemporary edge that is helping to boost revenue following the roll-out completed in August 2015.
