Peerless-AV® Becomes DAYTONA Technology Platform Partner, Providing Over 800 Outdoor Displays to Daytona International Speedway

Daytona International Speedway undertook the $400M DAYTONA Rising redevelopment and needed a technology partner to deliver outdoor, weatherproof, daylight‑readable displays that would work in extreme temperatures, resist salt‑air corrosion, be viewable in direct sunlight (including by fans wearing polarized sunglasses), and require minimal maintenance. After a head‑to‑head evaluation, Daytona International Speedway selected Peerless‑AV and its Xtreme™ Outdoor Daylight Readable Displays (47” CL‑47PLC68‑OB and 42” CLP‑42PLC68‑OB) for the DAYTONA Technology Platform.

Peerless‑AV supplied and supported the installation of more than 800 Xtreme outdoor displays—the world’s largest single deployment of outdoor displays—mounted across concessions, concourses, garages and other venues. The IP68‑rated, optically bonded displays with Dynamic Thermal Transfer and a quarter‑wave polarizer delivered maintenance‑free, sunlight‑readable performance in -40°F to 140°F conditions, met the installation schedule for the 2016 events, and provided continuous live content and strong positive feedback from fans.
