A Peerless-AV Case Study
Gardner-White Furniture faced a digital signage challenge in its new 70,000 sq. ft. Auburn Hills showroom: deliver synchronized, pre-recorded content to 30 TVs, allow frequent screen relocations, and avoid the cost and hassle of long cable runs and individual DVD/Blu-ray players. Existing WiFi-based systems lacked range and scalability, so Gardner-White turned to Peerless-AV and its PeerAir Pico Broadcaster to meet those requirements.
Peerless-AV deployed a single PeerAir Pico Broadcaster transmitter and over-the-air antennas on each TV, providing full coverage of the 350' x 242' showroom with a 350-foot broadcast radius and no per-screen receivers. The solution eliminated major cabling costs (saving thousands), reduced the need for multiple DVD players and manual DVD distribution, enabled easy content changes and auto-connectivity when screens are moved, and opened new marketing opportunities through centralized, remote content management.
