Global Furniture and Components Supplier, a leading supplier of furniture hardware and architectural components, needed to modernize an outdated carton fulfillment conveyor system. They wanted to add carton accumulation technology and optimize their existing square footage to postpone a building expansion. PeakLogix was selected to help upgrade the operation with new conveyor equipment.

PeakLogix implemented Hytrol ABEZ zero-pressure accumulation conveyors with Gen 3 EZLogic® to improve carton flow, flexibility, and control while reducing forklift traffic and eliminating the need for PLC control. The new layout also supported SAP integration and multiple manifesting stations. As a result, the system lowered maintenance and power costs, improved safety and space utilization, and increased throughput to 2,000 cases per 8-hour shift.
