Speedy Hire is a FTSE-listed equipment rental and support services provider operating across the UK, Ireland, and the Middle East. With 3,500 products across 200 depots and a four-hour delivery and collection promise, the company needed a better way to keep the right products available in the right places while managing complex demand across its network. Speedy Hire worked with Peak to improve its inventory and allocation decisions.

Using Peak’s Order Allocation and Replenishment applications, Speedy Hire’s asset and logistics teams now receive demand forecasts and recommendations for how to distribute products across the depot network, when to replenish them, and by how much. Peak says the team now takes one hour instead of over a week to decide where products should go, and on average saves 4% on inventory while satisfying 8% more demand across the network each month.
