Solvay redesigns 70,000 SF Houston workplace with PDR

Solvay, a Belgian-based global chemical company, engaged design firm PDR to reinvent its Houston workplace. The challenge was to create a space that would foster connectivity, collaboration, and knowledge-sharing for newly co-located business support groups, reflecting current work styles.

PDR designed a 70,000-square-foot office on two floors, integrating them with a monumental staircase. The solution included efficient neighborhoods of open workspaces and glass-fronted offices, flooded with natural light. The design incorporated Solvay's brand and chemical roots through color, texture, and historical imagery. The resulting work environment provides 185 employees with an efficient, energetic, and collaborative space that drives interaction and wellbeing.
