HillTop Apartments transforms 10,000 SF amenity space with PDR

PDR was engaged by HillTop Apartments, a multi-family residential property near the University of Texas, to elevate its amenity spaces. The challenge was to redesign these areas to support a diverse group of college students and integrate a design that reflected both Austin's current energetic culture and its long-standing history.

The solution implemented by PDR involved opening up the small reception area and designing flexible sub-workspaces and meeting areas. Key features included a kinetic steel-paneled wall for gatherings and retro-inspired study nooks that incorporated materials and a color story from a local historic landmark. PDR's design created functional, inspiring spaces for students to engage, successfully achieving the goal of giving the vibrant apartments an authentic Austin feel.
