Eight Row Flint wins American Marketing Association Crystal Award with PDR

Eight Row Flint, a restaurant in Houston founded by restaurateurs Morgan Weber and Chef Ryan Pera, wanted to launch a new establishment with a distinctive stylistic twist that revered locally sourced ingredients but in a relaxed, zero-pretense environment. Their challenge was to create an authentic and holistic brand identity for their revisionist ice-house, set in a repurposed gas station, that would stand out in a competitive area and avoid a generic franchise feel. They engaged the brand service from vendor PDR to bring their vision to fruition.

PDR's team designed a tailored yet easy-going visual identity that was one integral component of the overall atmosphere. The solution successfully captured the owners' vision for an authentic experience, resulting in a restaurant that patrons have been flocking to since its launch. The work for Eight Row Flint was so effective that PDR won the American Marketing Association’s Crystal Award for creating the brand identity.
