A PDQ Case Study
Lift Schools, a network of 57 K-12 schools in the UK, faced challenges managing cybersecurity and devices across its distributed and growing environment after a ransomware event exposed the limitations of its previous managed service provider. Their goals were to improve service quality, increase agility, and standardize security practices without relying on on-site servers. They turned to the vendor PDQ and its product, PDQ Connect, for a solution.
PDQ Connect provided a centralized, serverless platform that replaced three separate tools for inventory, remote desktop, and deployment. The solution enabled Lift Schools to enforce strict security controls, patch vulnerabilities quickly, and manage all devices remotely. This consolidation saved money, simplified their IT environment, and was essential to their successful move to a fully serverless architecture, providing the oversight needed to protect student data and keep learning undisrupted across the entire network.
