OEC Graphics Partners with PDFTron to Upgrade its FUSION UX

OEC Graphics, a century-old, North American leader in premedia and the maker of the FUSION workflow system, faced a major usability and accuracy problem: their existing browser-based PDF viewer was overly complex, hard to customize for different clients, and caused some users to abandon the web viewer for costly desktop tools. At the same time OEC needed flawless on-screen color rendering, browser-based color-layer inspection and densitometer tools, and reliable annotation extraction to meet strict production and legal requirements.

OEC replaced the old viewer with PDFTron SDK, quickly implementing a customizable web viewer with color-layer and densitometer features, visual diffing, and integrated annotation handling. The new solution improved usability and adoption, cut training time by two-thirds, reduced deployment from 2–3 days to under one day, enabled most clients to migrate to the web viewer, and established an ongoing vendor partnership for future feature development.
