PDF/A and ElDI-V compliant document processing and archiving

Swiss Post Solutions, an IT services company with over 6,000 employees, needed to extend its solution to process and archive PDF invoices and orders in compliance with Swiss VAT and eIDAS (ElDI-V) regulations. Their challenge was to integrate electronic signatures and convert all PDF and TIFF documents into the long-term archival format, PDF/A, while eliminating active content and connecting to their existing HSM infrastructure. They turned to Pdftools and its 3-Heights® Document Converter to meet these requirements.

Pdftools provided a solution via its .NET API, which was easily integrated into Swiss Post Solutions' existing application server. This enabled the compliant conversion of documents to PDF/A and the implementation of mass signing via HSM, making the process safer and more efficient. The result is that over 1,000 B2B clients now benefit from a solution that produces documents for long-term electronic storage which fully fulfill ElDI-V requirements.
