Bayer CropScience, a global leader in crop science, faced the challenge of archiving over 20,000 complex regulatory documents annually in a long-term format. Their previous TIFF-based system lacked searchability and text reusability. They selected Pdftools to convert these documents into high-quality, ISO-compliant PDF/A files with OCR text recognition.

Pdftools implemented its 3-Heights Document Converter service, which processes PDFs into searchable PDF/A archives while preserving bookmarks, hyperlinks, and document structure. The solution, now used by over 1,000 employees, ensures regulatory compliance and allows for easy navigation and text reuse.
