Saginaw County Blood Search Warrants Go Paperless with PDFfiller

The Saginaw County 70th District Court and the Saginaw County Blood Search Warrant Project, working with about 250 police officers across 18 departments, faced slow, disruptive after‑hours processes for obtaining judges’ signatures on blood search warrants. To speed turnarounds and go paperless in the field, they selected PDFfiller — an online PDF editor and workflow solution — to let officers fill warrants on laptops and judges sign on mobile devices.

PDFfiller was implemented so officers can send filled warrants to on‑call judges (who sign on iPads) and receive signed forms immediately, creating digital records that are automatically emailed to court clerks. The rollout covers 5 district court judges and roughly 250 officers, produced up to an estimated 50% reduction in processing time, improved flexibility and convenience, and reduced fax‑related costs; Saginaw County plans to expand PDFfiller to more users and additional warrant types.
