Eaton improves all-day comfort with PDE's narrower TD1140 pendant controller

The customer Eaton sought to reduce the physical footprint of their TD1140 pendant controller to improve operator comfort without compromising its durability or sealing. PDE provided the industrial and mechanical design services to address this challenge.

PDE designed a narrower "pontoon" shape for the back of the device, which tapered the profile to reduce its contact surface against an operator's body. This solution by PDE maintained the structural integrity needed for IP67 sealing and drop tests while significantly enhancing all-day comfort for the user.
