The Boise Police Department Builds a Better Network for Less

Boise Police Department needed to replace an outdated, costly, and hard-to-maintain in-vehicle network for its cruiser fleet. Working with PCS Mobile, the department looked for a way to give officers reliable mobile 4G LTE connectivity while reducing IT workload and staying within a flat budget.

PCS Mobile implemented Cradlepoint COR Series devices with Enterprise Cloud Manager across the department’s 150-vehicle fleet. The new solution centralized configuration and monitoring, cut software update time from as much as 160 man-hours to about five minutes, reduced maintenance and equipment issues, improved officer uptime in the field, and helped keep more officers available for patrol and faster response.
