Northern Monk Brewery required a secure and robust dual-purpose WiFi system for its Refectory taproom in a historic Leeds building. The existing service was weak and problematic, failing to meet operational needs for staff and providing a poor experience for guests, a challenge exacerbated by new COVID-19 regulations. PCM Systems was engaged to assess the project and provide a solution.

PCM Systems implemented a business-class WiFi solution by installing multiple access points to create two completely separate networks for staff and guests. This improved security by segregating network traffic and provided excellent coverage throughout the building and into its beer garden. The project was completed within a critical one-week timeframe, enabling Northern Monk to reopen safely with efficient digital systems for ordering and payment in line with social distancing guidelines.
