Case Study: British Medical Journal achieves PCI-compliant phone payments with PCI Pal

A PCI Pal Case Study

British Medical Journal transitions payments in 3 months with PCI Pal

The British Medical Journal (BMJ) faced a challenge in securely processing credit card payments over the phone after its proprietary system was withdrawn. They needed a new solution for their contact center that would maintain PCI DSS compliance while providing a seamless customer experience. PCI Pal was selected to provide their Agent Assist solution.

PCI Pal implemented its cloud-based Agent Assist solution, which uses DTMF masking to securely intercept payment data and descope BMJ from PCI compliance requirements. The results included a much quicker and more efficient payment process, as agents now remain on the line to support customers. The transition was completed quickly, and the solution successfully maintained BMJ's compliance while improving the overall customer experience.
