Bracewell & Giuliani LLP is a global law firm of about 450 attorneys across ten offices with busy practices where billable minutes matter. The firm needed a way to preserve and share legal research so associates could quickly access past work instead of redoing searches for each new assignment.

The firm built a shared “knowledge database” on PBworks because it was inexpensive and easy to use. The wiki captures prior research as a starting point for new matters—saving an estimated two hours per successful search—and is currently used in the New York litigation department, with interest from other offices as the firm pilots a measured rollout.
