Orderbird, a leading iPad-based POS provider for restaurants across Germany, Austria, Switzerland and France, needed a way to offer cashless payments and integrate a card reader into its hospitality-focused system while connecting smoothly to its chosen acquirer, Concardis. To meet that need they selected Payworks and its Payment Gateway/SDK to provide a fast, seamless integration for card acceptance.

Payworks’ Payment Gateway enabled Orderbird to launch orderbird PAY, adding EMV Chip & PIN, contactless and mobile wallet acceptance via an integrated card reader and a single SDK that supports global deployment without rework. As a result, Orderbird now serves more than 7,500 customers and over 2,000 merchants actively use orderbird PAY; the company has also integrated Payworks into its CRM to simplify sales outreach and automated onboarding.
