Program Technology Refresh Boosts Engagement

Forward Corporation, headquartered in Standish, Michigan, operates 30 convenience stores with fuel and needed to modernize its aging Forward Rewards Program. The original program relied on key fobs, manual registration forms, paper coupon printers, and ongoing IT maintenance, creating friction for both customers and store operations. Paytronix Systems provided the technology refresh through the Paytronix Rewards platform.

Paytronix Systems integrated the new Forward Rewards program directly with Forward’s Verifone Commander POS system, making it easier for customers to identify themselves and for cashiers to redeem rewards quickly at the register. The upgrade helped Forward capture twice as much purchase-behavior data, and in the first month activated 11,958 accounts versus 7,758 active members in the previous month of the old program. More than half of new members registered their accounts, while targeted email campaigns drove an additional 500–800 monthly visits and the birthday program generated about 2,000 visits per month.
