Tavern in the Square, a full-service restaurant group in the greater Boston area, needed a smarter way to market to multiple guest demographics as it expanded from its original bar-focused concept into a casual dining chain. To support more personalized outreach and loyalty engagement, the company partnered with Paytronix Systems and its mobile engagement platform.

Paytronix Systems launched the points-based Tavern Insider loyalty program with branded iOS and Android mobile apps, along with campaign tools for segmentation, geofencing, push messaging, and analytics. The result was rapid growth, with about 1,000 app downloads and registrations per month and membership reaching 23,500 in 12 months; mobile members also came to represent half of member transactions.
