HuHot Mongolian Grill, a restaurant chain with 65 locations, wanted to refresh its long-running “buy $100, get $20” Christmas in July promotion, which had become stale for both staff and customers. To create a stronger summer sales driver, HuHot worked with Paytronix Systems and its loyalty/promotion platform to design a more engaging offer tied to customer visits.
Paytronix Systems helped HuHot launch a limited-time Grill Pass promotion, allowing guests to prebuy passes for 5, 11, or 25 entrées in July and redeem them by year-end. The campaign drove 30% more visits during the redemption period, 44% more spend, and about $280,000 in incremental spend on $500,000 in total sales; loyalty members also accounted for 90% of Grill Pass purchases.
