How Two Best Friends Built a Business Together

CaRu Entertainment is a dance and entertainment studio founded by best friends Emily Czerniakowski and Cassie Russo that grew quickly from apartment performances to a nationally ranked studio. As enrollment and events expanded, Emily was overwhelmed by manual invoicing, billing and registration—tasks that became unsustainable as the business scaled and she prepared for a growing family.

They implemented a cloud-based payments and Online Store solution (PaySimple) to automate billing, accept payments, and sell event tickets and classes online. The change eliminated manual processing, enabled seamless ticket sales for their charity showcase, opened new revenue opportunities for classes and branded merchandise, and gave the owners mobile access and scalability while supporting successful community initiatives (including a fundraiser that raised $3,600 and collected 300 costumes).
