A PayPal Braintree Case Study
Snapfish, the online photo printing and sharing service operating in 10 countries, needed to move quickly into new markets but was slowed by the complexity of setting up local payment processing. Different regulations, multiple acquirer relationships and varied regional payment preferences (for example, debit and online wallets in China) made launches operationally difficult and time-consuming.
In 2015 Snapfish integrated with Braintree, leveraging Braintree’s existing relationships in 40+ countries to accept local currencies and payment methods through a single interface. The result: fewer operational partnerships to manage, a simpler payments stack and dramatically faster market rollouts — cutting what used to take about six months down to immediate payment acceptance.
